1. Unfortunately, this doesn't include the current furor over the Islam center in NY
http://www.pollingreport.com/obama_job.htm#Gallup

I think the Daily Gallups provide a way to watch the movement. The mess around the Islam center is hurting Obama from all sides. Even self-identified Dems, as a rule, tend to be against it, especially considering the media spin. "It's a mega-mosque, right next to Ground Zero!" That isn't true of course, but most people don't know that and don't care.

I seem to be getting more cynical...

2. Poll
Unfortuntly this poll continues to show the trouble we are headed to.

Obama has a 41 percent approval on Economy.and 45 percent on Health Care.

Come january Obama may have no power to get anything passed through Congress.Republicans will try to repeal everything he has done,
and kill any new proposal. When Gates leaves as defense Secretary he may not be able to get a replacement through the senate.

4. they can't repeal anything over his veto. It will be like it was in '95
when congress went GOP under Clinton. Except I think the Senate will at least remain democratic this year, but the house is dicey.

5. I know that
My point Is to say much of the congress comes january will be held up with trying to overturn every Obama and the Democrats passed.
With a 51 percent disapproval from gallup we need to start getting worried about Congress flipping to Republicans. If numbers In
September can start rebounding the senate can be held although Republicans will fillerbuster everything. If the Election was held right now the House would flip.

You can expect hearings on the birthers claims and any other BS right wing charge against Obama.
