1. A large part of the problem is the worthless idiots
like the one standing in the foreground in the pic.

4. A larger part...
Wolf Blitzer is a tool. He's presenting the message of someone who is above him. Glenn Beck is, too. So is Rush Limbaugh. So is Chris Matthews. Too many people worry about the court jesters and forget about the people who employ them.

6. And, the largest part of the problem
is the ones who keep watching these worthless idiots, and who slurp up their propaganda like it was manna from Heaven. There would be no Blitzers, Limbaughs, Becks, etc. if they did not have an audience.

2. Do you really have to ask?
Who owns the networks? Do you think that they're "on your side?" They are not. They are on the side of propaganda for profit and pushing renewal of the tax cuts (among other things). What's the saying? The biggest fool is the fool who doesn't know he's being fooled?

3. CNN wants to be just like Faux News...
Edited on Fri Aug-20-10 05:14 AM by lib2DaBone
I quit watching CNN over a year ago.. because I'm "Wolf Blitzer intolerant". (It's not healthy to watch him)

The other day I happened on CNN and noticed that they had drifted even further right, if that is possible.

CNN is Faux wanna-be.. but they don't have Rupert Murdoc's money to pull it off. CNN is like a barking dog... barking but they don't know why? They are just barking because all the other dogs are barking and it seems like the right thing to do.

The media is sick and we owe it all to deregulation, destruction of the Fairness Doctrine and Clinton's Telecommunications Act of 1996.

Deregulation of the media has always been a top Republican priority.. but thanks to Bill CLinton.. it became a reality.

------------------------------------------------
Telecommunications Act of 1996
The 1996 Telecom Act was a landmark piece of legislation that drastically altered U.S. media and communications policy. The Act, signed into law by Bill Clinton on February 8, 1996, deregulated the media and communications sectors, leading to increased consolidation in both industries. In the years that followed, radio companies like Clear Channel ballooned in size (Clear Channel now owns over 1,200 radio stations) because radio ownership limits had been removed. The new policies also led to a number of mega-mergers among telephone companies and other media businesses.

The 1996 Act also mandated that the FCC review it's media ownership limits every two years (now every four). In this way, the 1996 Telecom Act made the fight to maintain media ownership limits an ongoing battle.
