Eff it President Obama should call their bluff.
Edited on Fri Aug-20-10 05:21 AM by DemocraticPilgrim
He should just call their bluff and convert to muslim. I mean when they say I think you're muslim and go yes I am and with no religious test, yes I can. He should also say he would love to attend the mosque in NY when it's built to prove to everyone it's a peaceful place where all religions can come together.

2012 let's elect the 1st muslim President. Let's make history allover again. YEAH.

1. a couple problems with that plan
Most importantly, to me, is that the Republican would win a blow-out with 538 electoral votes.

Secondly, it would make a total mockery of religious conviction. (Maybe that one's not so bad. Let me think about it.)

3. Let's make real history and have him convert to Voodoo
Just consider, the Rose garden could be used for animal sacrifices, and classes could held to teach staff how to make Voodoo dolls of Republicans so they would be persuaded to drop out of the race.

Now that's an election strategy.

5. I'd rather he invite reps. from all faiths to the WH
for a chat/dinner/whatever to demonstrate an American value of inclusivity. Maybe he's done that already?

9. Not sure if you have ever been to a mosque.
It is not a place "all religions can come together." Many mosques will allow non-Muslims to enter but there are many that will not allow it. You certainly can't decide to practice a non-Muslim religion inside of any mosque.

11. Well it isn't exactly a mosque it's a community center..
They are in the capacity of it being a community centet and mosque trying to encourage inter faith relations butright wing media won't rwport that just encourage paranoia. The place has every right to be built under constitutional law. Catholic churches aren't blocked because of their controversy likewise under freedom of religion is the case here.

In science every idea is explored till a solution is found. Ialalways cind it funny when outside the box ideas are rejected when that's hownew things are created. Maybe this udeahas no merit but it's designed to start creative thought and see where that leads. It's how problem solving us done it goes nowhere with outright dismissal.but by exploring potential altetnate ideas,
