"George Bush is more popular than Barack Obama"
At least that's what David E. Johnson of Strategic Vision said this morning when being interviewed on POTUS.

He was saying that the Democrats are being hit really hard by the economy and they are getting all the blame. He also said that no one is blaming the Republicans anymore. Of course, he wrapped these comments around 'in very select areas'.

He then said, "George Bush is even more popular than Barack Obama". And I was like, "No fucking way!".

And then the truth came out. The guy interviewing him said, 'We're talking with David Johnson of Strategic Vision who once worked for Bob Dole on his presidential campaign.'. I was like "Ha!".

And then he was asked, "Have you ever worked for a Democrat, or only for Republicans.". David Johnshon answered, "I've only worked for Republicans".

So, there you have it.

Shouldn't there be an unwritten rule that pollsters should NOT be interviewed; especially if they have a partisan agenda?

Remember, Nate Silver nailed SV last year for cooking the books. Dismiss everything they say as a LIE.

2. You would think that after Nate exposed them they wouldn't
have the gall to keep their BS up. Total liars.

3. When what you say is 100% predictable
It has no informational content. David E. Johnson has no information.

7. I heard that too! The POTUS host questioned that absurd statement.
The wingnut pollster went on to say, "well, in some pockets of the country." Yeah, in Wingnutville, Oklahoma perhaps.

Nice try loser.

8. I find that hard to believe.
The only way I can understand this would be the premise that when you have a Democrat behaving like a Republican, voters will go for the real Republican all the time.

9. It depends on what the pollster is comparing. What did Bush have...
as far as poll numbers, during his almost second Great Depression caused by the prior administration's policies? Oh, wait. Bush didn't have to deal with problems like that. He had a surplus in the coffers, then a tragedy to deal with (that he had been specifically warned about but failed to heed...going off on the longest vacation ever taken by a President, instead), and then wars to wage (rah rah rah, the people chanted).

People get fonder of Presidents after they leave office.

So I wouldn't be surprised that Bush's poll numbers right now are higher than Obama's. Or even during Bush's second year.

What goes down, inevitably goes up.

11. Ummmm.... Not if the Republicans I talk to are any gauge.
They start to criticize Obama, I say, "He's better than his predecessor." They say, "That may be but ..." And that plays out like it is scripted every single time.

I call bullshit.
