Bush Leadership on Katrina Preferred to Obama on Spill
Words fail. Louisianans believe this? Ahhh, read the caveat...

Bush Leadership on Katrina Preferred to Obama on Spill

Here's a wake up call for the White House from Public Policy Polling: Louisianans are feeling more and more that President Bush's leadership in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina was better than President Obama's on the massive gulf oil spill.

Key finding: 54% think Bush did the superior job of helping the state through a crisis to 33% who pick Obama.

Caveat: "Of course it should be noted that many of the people most negatively impacted by the federal government's handling of Katrina aren't in Louisiana to answer polls about it now."

leading questions, and perhaps even push polling

Why would the people who run the polling questions find in their infinite wisdom, it imperitive to compare these events?

It is the same nonesense the did when asking do you believe President Obama is a Muslim? The question is asking an opinion based on a false statement. In addition, the implication in the question is usually associated with Muslim and terrorists no doubt

How about this for a question: "Do you think that the media and the pollesters are worthless, and don't really want to inform?"

5. What a shock that a Dixie-red state prefers the white Republican President to the
Black Democratic President.

That number is very close to Obama's approval rating in the state. I don't think they really care what the specific issue is.

My favorite part of the ridiculous political oil spill coverage was the shock! shock! that the media portrayed that Obama isn't really popular in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and the panhandle of Florida. :eyes:

8. Louisianans are very, very, very conservative.
Outside of New Orleans and other pocket regions, it's one of the most conservative states in the country.

The fact many believe Bush did a superior job does not surprise me. They probably thought this back in 2005, too.

He is, after all, one of theirs.

Now poll New Orleans and New Orleans alone and see if you get the same number.
