GOP plans wave of White House probes

If President Barack Obama needed any more incentive to go all out for Democrats this fall, here it is: Republicans are planning a wave of committee investigations targeting the White House and Democratic allies if they win back the majority.

Everything from the microscopic — the New Black Panther party — to the massive –- think bailouts — is on the GOP to-do list, according to a half-dozen Republican aides interviewed by POLITICO.

1. So is it too soon to begin a Obama impeachment pool...?
What month will it happen in? Who will cheer for it?

Republicans are doing what Democrats want. They are just investigating the wrong President.

2. how quickly Republicans go for the throat, but Dems didn't even attempt
an investigation into Bush/Cheney. It's not too late to do the right thing. It's okay to look backward and have people be accountable for their behavior in my book...

3. Kind of like the school bully. Being afraid is the worst thing to do
Bullies are actually quite fearful and usually only pick fights with the weakest links and those who do not fight back. Sometimes the thing that will stop a bully is a swift punch in the nose. The GOP will continue these tactics as long as we don't fight them back on their own turf. And we have *REAL*, not imaginary issues to fight on!

4. Right wing zealots go for the throat. They have taken over the party.
The Republican Party started their spiral into idiocy when Reagan became president. This is not your father's Republican party and I sure as hell don't want the Democrats acting anything like them.

The Republican Party is on death row and this is all they have left. Lord help us if the American people don't wake up to that fact and make all Republicans pay for allowing their party to sink so low. There is no way these extremist fools should be allowed to take one seat in the halls of congress.

The Democrats are weak, but they are no where near is bat shit crazy. And I'm sorry, this threat to investigate Obama is bat shit crazy. It's past just fighting. It is an attempt to shut down democracy and nullify voters on the left. Your comparison is not apt because of that.

8. That would be GREAT.
If the GOP gets in and all they wind up doing is launching a series of investigations, it will frustrate the hell out of the people (much like it did in 1996->2000) and will give democrats back control of the house and senate in no time.

Just hopefully this time the democrats won't squander the opportunity.
