Pelosi ATTACKS: Republicans want an American Oligarchy. FIRED UP!

by MinistryOfTruth

But Republicans don't want tax cuts for the middle class, Pelosi said, "unless we worship at the shrine of those (making) over $250,000...They want to turn (America) into a plutocracy or an oligarchy. And I just will not give them more grist for the grinder when they have a 100-million-dollar grinder.''

Today the enthusiasm on the left is growing by leaps and bounds. Polls are moving towards the Dems. Voters who are NOT Glenn Beck fans (and yes, Glenn Beck, we SURROUND you and your little cult of personality and hate) are figuring out that GOP/teaparty candidates are CRAZY and have NOTHING to offer working class Americans. The GOP peaked too early and WE have the momentum. Now, lets SEIZE that momentum.

In an article titled Why Nancy Pelosi Thinks She Can Hold the House, the Speaker doesn't sound afraid of the George Bush party at all. In fact, she sounds CONFIDENT.

But regarding the "Oligarchy" comment, this isn't Bernie Sanders, this is the Speaker of the House of Representatives, and she GETS IT. Nancy Pelosi is NOT afraid of the Big Bad Xenophobic Tea Party wolf. Nancy sounds CONFIDENT and she is FIGHTING BACK. And you should too!

So lets get FIRED UP!

If you can, use our ActBlue link to support Nancy Pelosi's majority and some great house candidates!

7. So you disagree with her point in the OP?
Or is it that you have inside knowledge about her reasons for not holding the vote?

Also, if it was going to fail, what difference does it make?

6. It's not that Republicans want an American Oligarchy.
That already exists. Republicans are for the faction that would say or do anything to prevail.

House Majority Still Uncertain, Republicans Say

By JEFF ZELENY and CARL HULSE

WASHINGTON — Republicans carry substantial advantages as they move into the final month of the fall campaign, but the resilience of vulnerable Democrats is complicating Republican efforts to lock down enough seats to capture the House and take control of the unsettled electoral battleground.

By now, Republicans had hoped to put away a first layer of Democrats and set their sights on a second tier of incumbents. But the fight for control of Congress is more fluid than it seemed at Labor Day, with Democrats mounting strong resistance in some parts of the country as they try to hold off a potential Republican wave in November.

The chances of a Republican takeover in the House remain far greater than in the Senate, according to a race-by-race analysis by The New York Times. But enough contests remain in flux that both parties head into the final four weeks of the campaign with the ability to change the dynamic before Election Day.

Races typically tighten in the final month as voters on both sides become more engaged, and the political climate is no more favorable for Democrats than it has been all year, with no substantial signs of improvement in the economy or the outlook for unemployment.

Yet even as spending from outside groups is threatening to swamp many Democratic candidates, Republican strategists estimated that only half of the 39 seats they need to win control of the House were definitively in hand. Many Democratic incumbents remain vulnerable, but their positions have stabilized in the last month as they have begun running negative advertisements to raise questions about their Republican challengers and shift the focus of voters away from contentious national issues like health care, bailouts and President Obama’s performance.

11. She has guts and lets the republicans know she has that
is why you see all those hat filled posts and pictures about her. She doesn't seem to mind what the republicans think. She is doing what it best for the American people. She for one is not kowtowing to the right the way Obama did.

15. While I agree, I wish she had used simpler language
The average American reads at the ninth grade level and does not understand what an oligarchy is.

17. You are correct on simpler language
The United States is the dumbest country in the industrialized world. Oligarchy has for syllables. Most Republicans communicate in monosyllabic words or grunts and snorts.

18. Maybe she'll inspire the teabaggers to pick up a dictionary.
How does the public get by watching TV? The pundits throw around big words all the time, excessively in some cases.

Let's face it, not everyone who doesn't understand the meaning of a word is going to complain that someone used it. They'll only do so if they have an issue with the person other than his/her vocabulary.
