Russ Feingold's new ad: 'Republicans Dancing in the End Zone'
Feingold: Don't write me off just yet! In another sign of how suddenly Russ Feingold has found himself contemplating the real possibility of defeat, Feingold's new spot urges Republicans not to dance in the end zone just yet.

1. I prefer a "measuring the drapes" or "counting chickens" analogy.
But it's not bad.

3. I like it.
The money I would normally be donating to the "Democrat" (Blanche Lincoln) in Arkansas is instead being sent to Russ Feingold.

4. Thank you!
We Wisconsin Dems are feeling sick at the thought of losing Russ. We hope the rest of the state will wake up to what a cold-hearted charlatan his opponent is.

5. NFL asks Sen. Russ Feingold to remove Randy Moss video from ad
MILWAUKEE (AP) — The NFL is flagging Sen. Russ Feingold's latest ad for using an unauthorized clip of Randy Moss pretending to moon the Green Bay crowd in 2004.
NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said Tuesday the league did not license the footage and has contacted the Democratic senator's campaign about removing it.

The ad shows a number of clips of football players dancing in the end zone. Then Feingold says the celebrations are similar to how his challenger seems to be declaring himself the victor prematurely.

Polls show Republican Ron Johnson with a slight lead over Feingold.

The Feingold campaign didn't immediately return a message asking whether it would pull the ad.

The NFL clip shows Moss pretending to moon the crowd when he was with the Minnesota Vikings. The stunt drew a $10,000 fine.

6. Free coverage without being offensive? Win win!
Usually you need to do something outrageous to get the news to play your ad over and over for free... here he gets to make a very reasonable claim and still get free airtime as they cover the NFL angle.

8. Remember the last midterm?
All of the pundits predicted gloom and doom for Dems. WHen the Dems took everything, the punditry laughed about being so absolutely wrong, as if it were a funny game.

The GOP has thrown everyone but boss Hogg under the bus. Any one constituency, Latinos, gays, blacks, etc, that the GOP has rejected could turn it for the Democrats if they are motivated to vote.

9. Its a great ad I hope they can play it
a bunch before it gets pulled. It doesn't come off as political and would make football types watch...
