New Poll: DE Senate: Coons 61% O'Donnell 37%; Dem leads by double digit for Castle house seat
Edited on Wed Oct-06-10 08:44 AM by WI_DEM
DELAWARE: Yet another poll shows Chris Coons with a commanding lead over Christine O'Donnell… Coons leads 49%-30% in a new University of Delaware Center for Political Communication poll. With leaners, Coons' lead expands to 61%-37%.

In the Delaware House race, John Carney leads 48%-31% over Glen Urquhart. (this would be a Dem pick up--polls earlier this week showed Dems leading for GOP seats in LA & HA--if dems win all three then the GOP would need to win 42 seats, rather than 39 to take the house).

Chris Coons is up with a mock Christine O'Donnell Web site that says, "Tell Christine O'Donnell 'You are not me.'"

2. I just don't get it...
What the heck is wrong with 37% of the people? You'd willingly elect this simpleton? Seriously?

3. But who exactly is being polled here? Have any
Delaware mice with human brains been polled?

I think not.

Hold on to your hats. This one ain't over, folks!

10. No, but it is entirely possible, if O'Donnell is correct, that humans with mice brains

were included. (I think my if clause suffices to make almost anything true.)

15. LOL.
Those Republicans are a crazy bunch.

And O'Donnell especially: Mice. Meatballs. Masturbation.

I've rarely been this entertained by a U.S. Senate race!

:hi:

5. I'm not convinced she's interested in winning
She's interested in claiming her victim status so she can collect beaucoup bucks on the imbecile conservative speaking circuit, a la Palin. She will never be a Senator (thank the great Earth Mother), but she'll be a millionaire inside of two years, yammering endlessly about how the "lamestream" press vilified her, and about how her dimbulb followers are the next American revolution, or some similar nonsense.

These people are grifters, plain and simple.

7. Agree. Her campaign doesn't feel like much of a
campaign. If her handlers think it really IS a campaign, then it's no wonder she's running that far behind Coons.

I yearn for the days gone by when grifters were at least smart.

6. So why is the media spending so much time on this blowout?
Looks like they can move on to closer races to cover.

13. Mika on Morning Joe seems to be redirecting her big-girl crush to O'Donnell
Edited on Wed Oct-06-10 11:31 AM by MattyGroves
Mika was commenting on how effective the "I'm You" message could be down the road since she comes off as an "every-person" that people could relate to.

One the plus side one of the guests snarked something along the line of "yeah, I guess if you haven't had steady employment since... (couldn't make out if he said 1994 or 2004).

If Mika follows the path of her election-cycle obsession with Palin I imagine Mika will be coping COD's hairstyle in few days and dressing in all-black with a pearl necklace.

16. Carney's a bit of a Blue Dog but Urquhart is genuinely frightening.
And it's good to see Coons' lead is increasing over the Wicked Witch.
