Hate may be one of the most powerful emotions, politically too.

In a discussion this morning with the hubby on the state of our politics....
he said something that is unfortunate but rings true:

Hate is a very powerful tool; more powerful than doing what is best in one's long term interest.
Some people's hate will drive them so much, that they will take it where it hurts rather than relinquish their hate in exchange for what is best for them.

Sometimes just being able to believe that one is better than those in charge,
and doing whatever is necessary to make their belief come to fruition can give one
more enthusiasm than doing what would turn out to be the better, most logical and constructive choice.
