Hahaha hahahahaha - would you like some seasoning with that CROW Rasmussen???
Republican candidates now hold a three-point lead over Democrats on the Generic Congressional Ballot for the week ending Sunday, October 2, 2010. This is the smallest gap between the parties in roughly a year.

Forty-five percent (45%) of respondents say they would vote for their district’s Republican congressional candidate, while 42% would opt for his or her Democratic opponent. This is the first time during 2010 that the GOP edge has fallen below five points.

1. Boy, I kind of had a feeling of dread about the upcoming elections. Lately, though,
I've been getting excited - almost like 2008! :hi:

Good news, P, thanks!

4. Why do they need to eat crow?
Obviously good news for us, but doesn't Rasmussen simply report the shifts in political opinion over time? Clearly things have moved in out favor but why does this reflect unfavorably upon Rasmussen?

5. Because they have been reporting that the republicans were going to win the house in a landslide for
months.

9. I'm not sure that's correct.
My understanding is that they report the current results of their opinion polls, which certainly for several months seemed much more favorable to the Republicans than they are now. So what they were saying for several months was that based on their polling *at that time* the Republicans would win the house. But as we all know (including Rassmussen) the political winds can change which is what seems to have happened in the last couple of weeks.

11. The crow does not need to be served
before the election. We'll see what happens then, and I believe that Rassmussen will be fairly correct on the majority of their poll results.

It's going to be a really tough year for our side, and I fully expect that.

6. It's Rasmussen. I'll give Dems a slight advantage, if you don't mind.
I know that works against the M$M meme, but I would like nothing more than to wake up on Nov. 3, and watch them backpedal from all the "sky is falling" predictions.

7. Kos is reporting...
.... or Tweeting rather...

Wow. Got WA-08 poll results back from @ppppolls. Reichert is in genuine trouble. Rare for (R) incumbent. No intensity gap. Results Monday

8. The polls usually tighten up close to the election, they still
have a 3% advantage. This one looks worse every week.http://www.electoral-vote.com/

10. Good trend but this poll is a week old.
I think (R)as will be coming out with new generic ballot numbers in the next couple days.
