Linda McMahon gives out nails & hammer for her own coffin - 10% cut to social security

When asked about spending cuts by Christianne Amanpour, Linda McMahon (R-CT) refused to rule out a 10% cut to social security...

Like with the minimum wage question that has dogged her over the last 10 days, you still can't really tell what Linda thinks:

Amanpour: The big issues that take up most of the spending, obviously defense -- some 20 percent -- (and) Social Security and Medicaid. Is that where you would cut?

McMahon: Let me just name a couple of other things too. I do think we sould freeze federal hiring and freeze wages ... We should take balance of the the stimulus money money to pay down the debt.

Democrats are already jumping on McMahon's words. But why can't she be more clear? The answer is that the McMahon folks aren't selling a candidate with clear views, they're selling a product you can feel good about. Her victory, if it comes, will be a marketing-over-substance triumph.

Notice, how she said, "let me just name a couple of other things, too" - meaning, she agreed with cutting social security & medicaid.
