and with today's judicial decision, I stand proudly in the ranks with my fellow veterans for all those who have worn the uniforms of this nation. The brave men and women I served with stood by my side as we took on the enemies of this nation. Whether at Breeds Hill, The Cowpens, New Orleans, Antietam, Gettysburg or Appomattox....whether in the Marne or freezing in the Bulge; the Frozen of the Chosen, Hue, and today in Iraq and Afghanistan....Gay men and Women have served this nation. Far too many rest beneath the sod...I see no pink crosses, Stars of David of Crescents....I see the forever young. I have visited many military cemeteries to pay my respects...Taps is gender neutral. It reminds me that another soldier, sailor, airman Marine of Coast Guardsman has gone to eternal rest. No one knows if they were gay, no one cares; they paid the price, the ultimate price that cowards sent them too. bush/cheney....I'll carry that extra 100#'s of coal to hell to make sure you burn just a little hotter.

Not just GLBT service members had a victory today every one who wears a uniform did...may we finally see the day when Equality is for one and All...no exceptions.

1. Oh let's face it - in the face of the Grave we're making a lot out

Of Horse shit.

Whether it's Obama refusing to sign an executive order or
Politicians covering their 'political' asses.

The Grave doesn't care -- LET THEM SERVE.

This side of the abyss is fleeting indeed.

2. Go to a militarty cemetery...
It doesn't have to be Arlington. Choose a name, any name; go to The Wall choose a name, any name...you may understand that when you realize that the name you are looking at died in the hands of a fellow soldier...You may see this differently...but as a Medical Platoon Sergeant and one who held many as they died, you may get a better perspective.

So long as we were fighting on the same side, it does'nt matter what color, gender, nationality or sexual preference is.

6. Anyone and everyone who is willing to serve our country in the military, no matter when or in
what capacity, deserves the respect of all of us. It still amazes me that gay people - fully knowing the risks they face of being involuntarily removed from the military - choose to serve, and feel a moral obligation to serve the nation that disowns them. Mister, you're a better man than I.

Thanks for posting this atgain - It needs to be repeated for some time to come. Rec.
