But just about the time I do, the markets take a big dump, so I tend not to want to do the "announcers curse". I was just reviewing the investments yesterday and they are FINALLY back to where they were at the first of the year.
It is one of the more difficult places for many Americans. The markets are "improving", but mostly it is a case of "back to only being lousy bad instead of disasterously bad". And many folks up and down the economic spectrum feel no confidence that it is "back", much less "back on track".
One wants to go out and make the case that the economy is doing well under Obama, one just has this awful feeling that all we've done is to walk to the back of the Titanic. Yes, the water isn't rising back here, but it's because the bow is sinking that the stern is rising. At any moment, we are all waiting for the ship to break in half and crash back down into the water.
