Cenk Uygur made a great case for public financing today--'It would be best investment we ever made.'
I totally agree. He began by saying 'people work for the folks who pay them'--and in this case, it is the special interests who fund Congressional campaigns--and they expect and get a return on their investment (laws written for them, and in many cases, by them (when Republicans are in charge).

Ezra Klein is a big proponent of the Fair Elections Now Act. He has mentioned it more than once on Rachel Maddow and Keith Olbermann, as well as on his WaPo blog.

I think the hundreds of corporate millions pouring into Republicans' campaigns from shadowy outside groups--thanks to the Citizens United Supreme Court ruling--make it pretty obvious we, the people cannot compete with corporate funding when Democrats are outspent 8 to 1 by these corporate funded groups like Rove's American Crossroads GPS and Americans for Prosperity, seeded by the Koch brothers.
