BarackObama In support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the White House will be lit pink tonight at 6:30.

OK - now here's a little article.

White House Dispatch: the color pink

CNN White House Producer Jamie Crawford

11:15 a.m. - The White House will look a little different Thursday evening after the North Portico is lit in pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month.

The change in lighting will happen at 6:30pm eastern time according Deputy Press Secretary Bill Burton, who made the announcement on Twitter.

This is not the first time the White House has served as a point of commemoration. Both the Bush and Obama administrations placed large red ribbons on the North Portico to mark World AIDS Day, and the fountain on the North Lawn has been turned green in the past in honor of St. Patrick's Day.
