Why do some politicos confuse political failure with moral failure?
We live in a large, ideologically diverse nation. We also live in a democracy. Sometimes ideological goals are not achieved politically. Why is it that some politicos assume that the political failure means that those in their party 'didn't really want it anyway?'

1. Because that's a simple explanation, doesn't require thought or inquiry, imo.

2. Because some of that ideological diversity you speak of includes fascism

And fascists, as we well know, do not believe in compromise.

If you have two cows, both communists and fascists will confiscate your cows. But while the communists will promise you milk and fail to deliver, the fascists will sell the milk to you for a hefty price.

3. So - hypothetically speaking - those who fight fascism politically...
or fight a 'fascist' policy, and fail to achieve their goal, are now compliant with fascists?
