Last night Drudge implied Michelle Obama broke campaign law, now Chicago's NBC affliate. . .
. . .is reporting it as fact in their morning news updates.
Drudge mentioned that the Chicago Sun-Times interviewed a guy who talked to Michelle Obama and he said said "She was telling me how important it was to vote to keep her husband's agenda going."
As you know Drudge who I will not link to put up the siren and the red type claiming she broke campaign law and as a result NBC5 in Chicago is running the story in heavy rotation, without any first hand reporting.
It should be noted the Chicago Sun-Times called the who thing "a very, very minor kerfluffle."
The press and it is taking what Drudge says as fact is just sickening.
18. wow, if that's the law then there are a whooooole bunch of okie's
that are in trouble, that stuff goes on all the time where i vote. i remember in 08 this the polling lady told this elderly gentleman "no sweetie, the republicians are on this side", and helped him mark his ballot.
and on a normal radio show, not some whack-job show.
It sounds like she certainly broke the law, possibly without knowing it.
You have to look at the intent... there was absolutely NO INTENT to influence or break any law so I think it's about as serious as doing 37 in a 35 zone...
15. Unfortunately Chicago TV news budgets are so bare, they're almost down to 'rip and read'
The more expensive old guard talent is being let go, they're using pooled video, and the few remaining reporters are spending time doing their own camera work and editing instead of researching their stories better.
16. AND we have a supreme court judge Clarence Thomas
that attends and helps his wife fund an organization that is working to get the president of this country and the laws a legally elected congress help pass out of office. NOW THAT'S WHAT THEY SHOULD BE REPORTING ON.
