Jesse Ventura disses Linda McMahon
From an article about Ventura's new TV show - which was venturing to CT's Plum Island...
>>>

As a former wrestler and office holder, Ventura may be uniquely qualified to weigh in on the U.S. Senate race in Connecticut featuring his old boss Linda McMahon. But Ventura says he won't endorse her, because she she's in a political party. As an independent, Ventura says, "I'm for the abolishment of all of the parties."

But he does have a few things to say about how she ran her business.

"There's no unions, no health care and everybody is hired as an independent contractor," Ventura says. "How do they get away calling me an independent contractor and yet I have to sign an exclusivity contract. I can't work for anyone else. They get around paying Social Security. Why does the government let them off the hook?"

1. Right?
It's all about stripping rights and choices from workers, she's a perfect GOP nom as that is what they stand for.

2. Not to mention that little problem with steroids
I'm sure that was around when Jesse was in WWE, too. But it's apparently gotten worse.

4. Isn't she lovely?
Polls show women shunning her by a big majority. She's poison. Blumenthal's ads on her are devastating!

How many female CEO's can brag about all their star performers who freaken' DIED as a result of working for them?

Not good. What the hell was she THINKING by running?

5. She is power hungry, arrogant and nasty. Just as Whitman in California thought she
Could get away with employing an illegal alien for nine years, fire her when she decided to run for political office and blame it on a left wing conspiracy when she got called out on it. No shame but a lot of nerve.

6. Nerve is right! Any woman who would pimp out her daughter to a sex commercial on a TV program
is the lowest of the low. I am the mother a 2 daughters and the grandmother of 3 granddaughters and the thought of this is just disgusting! Where are traditional family values???

7. I wonder the same thing. I don't consider myself a prude but sometimes
I feel like my moral compass is part of by gone era.

10. A perfect example of IOKIYAR...however, the CT polling shows that she does better
among men and she's really in the low numbers with women voters.

8. The wrestlers were living the Ronald Reagan dream
Reagan had a dream. Workers should be slaves because they are too stupid and morally corrupt to be treated as real humans. The Republicans and Chamber of Commerce signed on, and Reagan has been proven correct and his dream has come true. The PATCO debacle will be seen as a turning point in history.

11. Welcome to DU
Not sure if he would consider workers too stupid/corrupt. Just in need of the rich to guide them & rule over them like medieval serfs.

12. Really Sad that after at least 30 years now Wrestlers STILL can't realize to form a Union.
WWE (formerly WWF) got its big break in the mid-80s. And today, although not as popular, WWE still is absuing their workers. What amazes me though is that these wrestlers still havent mobilized to form a union to fight this abuse. Almost all of them hate the conditions but yet......
