"It's not like these people have read the economist Friedrich August von Hayek."

I would use to describe the Tea Baggers. I don't even think that they would use the word to describe themselves. So I am sure that they will not see this as a slap in the face. They will be flattered, since they are just grass roots, ordinary, concerned guys-next-door.

How does KKKarl Rove know about sophistication? He doesn't strike as the type who would even entertain social graces. He and the Teabaggers are quite alike in their prejudices and mannerisms.
