AK-SEN POLL: Murkowski 37, Miller 37, McAdams 23.
Dead Heat in Alaska

A new CNN/Time/Opinion Research poll in Alaska finds Sen. Lisa Murkowski, a write-in candidate, deadlocked with Joe Miller (R) at 37% each in the U.S. Senate race, with Scott McAdams (D) way behind at 23%.

Key finding: Just 80% of Murkowski's supporters ruled out the possibility of voting for another candidate if they found "the procedure for casting a write-in vote is different or more complicated" than expected.

Said pollster Keating Holland: "But in a close race, that handful of votes that Murkowski may lose due to complicated write-in procedures may be enough to knock her out of first place. If the six percent of Murkowski voters who aren't very familiar with the write-in procedure cast votes for her that don't actually count, the poll indicates that she would only get about 34% in the final election tally -- probably not enough to win."

1. McAdams is doing better in the poll summary at http:www.electoral-vote.com
There, he's at 27%(with Miller at 35% and Lisa Lisa & Vote Jam with Full Farce at 34%)

6. No. They would have went to Miller. Don't think this is a win...
Dems do like to vote at the booth.

5. I think Murkowski's support is very over stated
Seeing as she's a write in, it's very difficult to get a lot of votes like that.

10. Agreed. By a lot.
She's going to maybe get 20% at the most. Noway will 47% of those voting write her name in.

8. Remember
In Alaska polls can often be wrong.back In 2004 Murkowski was thought to be behind she won.In 2008 the repuke congressman was behind
he won.Stevens was behind by several points and he almost won.Miller could help Mcadams win in the end,and will Murkowski really
get that mant to write her name In.

9. This is a very unpredictable race.
Write in candidates almost never win. It would be very foolish for anyone to base their vote on polls. I'm sure Murkowski will try to convince Democrats that she's the only alternative to Miller, but there's no reason to believe that's the case.

15. Don't go there.
It's enough for you to stab the Democratic candidate in the back in your OWN damn state.

16. It is what it is ...
Look, not to discount your personal feelings, and just having an R behind her name pretty much leave the assumption that Murkowski is a rat, but Miller is in the top 10 deranged in above his head Rs who are making a run at being some of the most powerful people in this country ...

It is not a victory, but is less of a loss if she can squeek in over Miller ...

17. Murkowski has one good thing about her, her dislike for Palin. Other then that, she is pretty
awful. Miller is worse. That sums up this race.
