On Pelosi: It's not fair to take out your anger and disappointment on the Speaker of the House
I have my disappointments and I've expressed them, but the House of Representatives, and Nancy Pelosi are not the source.

They passed a Health Care Reform bill with a public option.

They passed cap and trade to deal with Global Warming.

They passed a repeal of Don't Ask Don't Tell.

They passed the original stimulus.

among other things.

The Blue Dogs in the House are a major PITA and huge disappointment but somehow Pelosi has gotten things passed notwithstanding their bankrupt ideology.

The point is, as I said, that Pelosi has delivered, without a great deal of administration support, more progressive legislation than we've seen in decades.

1. It does suck
The constraint was the Senate not the House. I haven't seen many people here put the blame on her, if some do they really need to take a deep breath and think logically.

2. The House has been pretty damn good. It's the undemocratic Senate that's the problem. nt

3. Absolutely - here here!
Nancy has been fabulous. I think she gets the blame because it is so damn typical to blame women at these levels of power. It irks me terribly.

6. You're right
The House deserves a lot of credit. The problem is the President and the Senate.

7. mehhh...
When you have a baseball team that loses 100 games a year the manager loses his job. The owners may have given him some rookie players, crappy players and poor leadership.

But the manager STILL loses the job.

Even if the DEMS hold the house, and they won't... there will be a new Speaker.

8. Want to place a friendly wager on that prediction?
Dems will retain the House, and Pelosi will remain as Speaker.

You are a very entertaining poster.
