I'm voting in this election for my daughter. She is 21, college student studying to be a teacher,
has a heart of gold...

She was recently diagnosed with problems with her thyroid, will most likely have a part of it removed after the 1st of the year....

While I was sitting at the specialists office with her earlier this week, all I could think was Thank You Obama for Health Care Reform. She would turn 22 right in the middle of all this, would have been kicked off of our healthcare. We don't have to worry about that anymore. She will be able to be on our plan until she turns 26. Hopefully by then she will be a teacher and will be able to get healthcare of her own and they won't be able to deny her because of her pre-existing condition.

And - then I think, omg, what would we do if we didn't even have healthcare... and it breaks my heart for all the people that don't....

The repugs want to repeal HealthCare Reform??? They aren't human, they are animals. We need to go forward on HCR, not backwards.

Please VOTE November 2nd, or earlier if you can. We cannot let the pigs try and take away everything we fought so hard to get, especially HCR... even if it's not perfect....it's perfect enough for my daughter.

1. K&R and good luck to your daughter.
I think getting to keep the kids on the policies is helping a lot of people.

3. Oh yes - she is so funny, she will not talk about politics with me....
probably because she is so sick of listening to it from me. But then all of the sudden I will get a text message from her "Mom, there are republicans set up all over campus to register voters. WTF??" "Mom, go over these ballot measures with me".

To answer your question, her mail in ballot has already been sent in. She wants to be a teacher, it more than just healthcare to her.

7. Thank you! The Dems have done great things over the last 18 mos, and have made a difference in
people's lives.

We're so quick to complain...me included. But sometimes reality hits you in the face, and you can be thankful for what they have accomplished.

8. hope it works out,
but the insurance companies are already ratcheting up plans to deny coverage by labeling medications and procedures as "experimental", including things as common as heart bypass surgery. In fact, they already do this to a large degree.

9. HCR has a long way to go until we can put the insurance companies in their place. But
in the meantime, I am so thankful for what they did get done.
