A word of warning about the early voting totals and extrapolating them to the entire electorate
Early voting tends to have far fewer polling places than regular voting and thus is often going to be a more desirable option for those in densely populated areas (where there is both more likely to be a reasonably close early voting place and a line on election day). Thus I think we have to be very careful since Democrats should be over represented in early voting as they tend to live in more densely populated areas. I hope the turnout holds up, but I am not going to count on it.

2. Early voting means you don't have to worry about parking.
It's about time we make it easier to vote.

4. Statistics in NC regarding the '08 election
back that up. The Rethugs outvoted us 57-43% on election day. The early votes were just enough to allow Dems to do very well overall. Obama won NC by like 10K votes.

6. whatever
I guess you would be like the people who end up making fools of themselves on american idol because no one in their lives dared tell them the simple truth that they couldn't sing.
