"2010 has had more private job creation than during the entire 8 year tenure of George W. Bush."
We have been busy bees in Iowa.. and I have not been posting, and had not planned to post till after the election.. but this is something any of us who are boots on the ground can use..

http://www.speaker.gov/issues?id=0002

"# There were an addition of 83,000 private sector jobs in June and nearly 600,000 private sector jobs this year. The Bush era actually cost us private sector jobs: 670,000 in eight years. "

http://newsjunkiepost.com/2010/10/08/its-official-more-private-sector-jobs-created-in-2010-than-during-entire-bush-years/

"Despite this, the shedding of government jobs cloaks a glimmer of hope: more private sector jobs have been created this year than during the entire Bush administration. Read that again: 2010 has had more private job creation than during the entire 8 year tenure of George W. Bush."

2. Here's the job Creation Graph for the Last 65 Years, -it's all Democrat all the time-
Edited on Sun Oct-24-10 10:14 AM by mikekohr
Job Growth

http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_mHSyEv8vBt4/S6Zvl-nui8I/AAAAAAAAACQ/3j0wUSj78mk/s640/Job+growth+graph.jpg?

Many Americans are aware that George W. Bush has had the worst job creation record since the government began tracking these figures in 1939. But Bush's colossal failure to manage the economy overshadows a much larger story.

The record shows two unmistakable patterns:
Every time a Republican succeeds a Democrat in the White House, the job creation rate plummets.
Every time a Democrat succeeds a Republican in the White House, the job growth rate soars. Every time! No exceptions!

Over the last seventy years, the decrease in monthly job creation when a Republican succeeds a Democrat is 68,913

Considering the steady growth in population of the United States during this time frame the job creation rate should steadily increase each month (currently it must grow by 138,000 per month to keep up with population growth). This trend only manifests itself when examining Democratic administrations:

Listed below is the average job growth increase for all terms served:

5. Too bad the mainstream media won't mention this and the Dems are barely able to communicate
This is something we should be buying ADS on-- have you seen any? I haven't. With the rightwing money machine blaring on every station and the media's clear intention of downgrading Democratic successes, this is something that would resonate - WHY aren't the Dems using this as a mantra in their ads?

16. I agree!
It drives me crazy to see the lack of publicity by the Dems. We have enough data to knock the socks off the Republicans.

7. This is important news- why no mention today by Dems on tv?
Tim Kaine had plenty of time to mention this as did all of the Democrats on the shows this morning- did anyone hear mention of this? Maybe I missed it but I don't think so. And this is why we make such a mess as a party and why they are so much better at messeging then we are

13. How many public sector jobs lost? 159,000 in September alone...
From your second link: "The numbers are not all good however. Companies added 64,000 jobs last month, but after the loss of 159,000 government jobs at all levels, there was a net shedding of ~95,000. The fading influence of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA or the economic stimulus) is causing much of the strain on the job market, as state and local governments still strained by poor revenue are cutting positions, particularly in education."

As so much is being privatized, including the military, the jobs are bound to increase in the private sector...how many were private military contractors I wonder??

18. And yet we continue to suffer from stagnant or increasing unemployment overall
The total of unemployed and underemployed is now over seventeen percent, and there is no end in sight. Playing up this whole "private sector" meme is simply bullshit. People are having a hard time finding a job, unemployment is increasing, and people are desperate.

Whatever happened to being truthful, rather than trying to spin negatives into positives?
