Dem party chief sees party keeping House control
WASHINGTON -- The Democratic Party chairman says his party's get-out-the-vote efforts will be critical in determining the outcome of who controls Congress after the election.

Tim Kaine says his party sees "strong trends" in early voting and at rallies that suggest the kind of higher turnout that usually favors Democrats.

Kaine tells ABC's "This Week" that he thinks Democrats will keep control of the House and that California Rep. Nancy Pelosi will remain as speaker.

1. People are getting out there and talking up the election.
Early voting is great, it can prompt a person to go ahead and vote instead of waiting and maybe staying home on Nov. 2nd. I'm offering co-workers rides to vote right after work in the mornings.

For the record, I think we will retain the House too.

7. Yep. What did they expect him to say?
I wish I could say I was as optimistic as you are regarding the House, though.
