Did CBS President Les Moonves take a shot at Katie Couric?

I just read this in our Sunday paper today. It was AP reported. Then I find out that it had already been published 10/5/2010 by the LA Times.

Anyway, there is doubt that Katie Couric's contract will be extended past May 2011 at least at the same rate.

Katie Couric never achieved his goal of lifting the “CBS Evening News” out of third place in the ratings, and a decision on that show’s future is due soon with Couric’s contract expiring next year.

"... Now, there is nothing that Katie Couric is saying that everybody doesn’t know already.”
