I just finish early voting in Georgia
and it looks like the minority turnout is good. We need to make sure that Nathan Deal does not win the Governorship....

1. I voted this afternoon for Barnes. I hate to think Nathan Deal will win, but I'm worried. nt

5. I feel the same... We have to hope that the turnout saw today will continue
if that happens Barnes will win. People were leaving the polls excited the few that I spoke with. A large number of people of color were casting their votes in Gwinnett today.

2. I sure hope it's enough.
As awful as Perdue has been, I hate to think what a Governor Deal would do. Nate Silver has projected that Nathan Deal will win the majority of the votes, but his projection is still within the margin of error (barely).

GOTV will be critical here over the next week, but we can still do this! :hi:

3. Deal has been running ads tying Barnes to Obama, which seems stupid in such a high AA area.
I think it's dumb of him to take the risk. Hopefully it backfires.

4. Yeah, I've seen them. I'm with you, I hope the strategy backfires.
Also, I hope I never hear "he'll get it right...the first time" again. Ugh, I'm soooo sick of seeing Deal's ads!

:puke:

7. If Deal wins we all lose... Not going to be good for us
he has the same views in my opinion as the teabaggers.

8. Did you catch the debate over the weekend?
Roy Barnes came across GREAT! He answered directly, setting out his plans, etc. Deal looked like a robot. He was either scared shitless or was uncomfortable in front of cameras and had been heavily coached (in the wrong way). He came across like a sleaze. The only time he seemed to be comfortable was when he was accusing Roy about something. And then he got upset when Roy called him out on it.

Deal should just be in jail. NOT in the governor's office.
