He is a thinker and spends a great deal of time sorting out his thoughts BEFORE he speaks. Doesn't mean he can't get up on stage and give a good speech or work a crowd.

Of course all we're doing with this exercise is basing our opinions on what we see presented to the public, not the true man.

that is, I tend to be slightly one or the other.

I tend to see Obama as a little more T than F, but not by a huge margin ... and I would bet that his J/P are almost dead even.

So I'd say he'd be ENTJ or ENTP at various times. With instances where his T slides towards F.

I have a friend who thinks about one's MB scores as being impacted by "situational factors" ... in his "rough theory" ... everyone has an MB score that is their "resting score" ... its what they "tend to be" most of the time ... but ... when "stressed", or under "special circumstances", it changes, some times dramtically.

The theory attempts to explain how various personality "incongruities" in behavior might be understood ... as an example ... how an introvert, like Johnny Carson (and many other "live" performers), can go on stage, and create innovative material on the spot ... and yet, in social situations, they struggle to hold a conversation.
