"Bill Clinton denies that he asked Meek to drop out of the FL Senate race."
Edited on Thu Oct-28-10 10:04 PM by Clio the Leo
But he dropped hints ALL Over the place, lol

Bill Clinton denies to CNN's Susan Candiotti that he asked Meek to drop out of the FL Senate race...
http://twitter.com/#!/sinderbrandrCNN/status/29045010876

Clinton to Candiotti: Didn't ask Meek to drop out, but "we talked about a lot of things and I told him whatever he did was his decision"
http://twitter.com/#!/sinderbrandrCNN/status/29045387328

Clinton later tells Candiotti he and Meek did discuss state of the race; he told Meek he should just do "what was best for Florida"

4. I'm sure Pres Clinton stopped short of the fatal words
but it sounds as if his intent was clear enough.

7. More info from Marc Ambinder....
Worst kept secret in Florida politics is that WH tried to get Clinton to nudge Meek aside a while ago. Clinton told the WH to shove off then
http://twitter.com/#!/marcambinder/status/29053275286

This time, Clinton ran it by the WH, which didn't object. But they didn't want to press Meek too hard -- Obama likes the guy. So does WJC
