10. Oddly enough, they actually have MORE registered Dems than Pukes, which I don't
really get. Doesn't seem to jive.

17. Screw you guys...
Kentucky a "lost cause"?

It must be the oxy?

Never going to Kentucky?

Most of you can kiss my Kentuckian progressive ass. There are lots of us who will be working extra hard in the GOTV effort to deliver this thing to Conway.

If we don't pull this thing out, most of it will probably be because of Aqua Buddha backlash, not because Kentucky is a "lost cause."

After all, Bunning only won by one percent in 2004. And this year's race isn't even over yet.

Yeah, Kentucky is not the most educated of states, but we suffer, too. We are the fifth poorest state in the union, and we need people trying to lift us up. Yeah, a lot of voters in our state are freaking stupid and vote against their economic interests because of "moral" issues that have little effect on them.

But Kentucky is NOT a lost cause. And if you believe in Howard Dean's 50-state strategy, you'll stop drawing conclusions about the entire state based on a series of polls! Stereotyping is not what we should be about. Kentucky, after all, has recently elected the likes of Wendell Ford, Paul Patton, John Yarmuth, Ben Chandler, and Steve Beshear (our current DEMOCRATIC governor). Fayette County, my home, saw 75% turnout for Democrats in 2008. What an astounding statistic!

And lest any of you assholes think we just need to saw off the south: Wisconsin is the one about to elect Ron Johnson, a guy who thinks global warming is caused by sunspots. And the other state close to my heart (my dad's home, Minnesota) is the one that elected Michele Bachmann. Michigan is about to give Granholm the boot, Ohio could elect Kasich, Pennsylvania could elect Toomey, etc.

Please give your condescension a rest.

19. Greetings from Barren County!
I just moved here from Tampa, FL (new job), and I think Kentucky does suffer from a lot of negative stereotyping. Idiots exist everywhere.

23. Kentucky doesn't have a monopoly on asshole politicians this year
Maine...blue Maine, is about to elect a wingnut for governor. Angle in Nevada, Johnson in Wisconsin, etc, etc. So no need on picking on Kentucky this cycle.

22. As a native WVian that grew up 30 minutes from the KY border, its a redneck problem.
You would think that his cold reaction to the whole head stomping incident would be enough to cut his lead, but there are some cutt throat ass people down that way and they vote.
