WOW! WOW! WOW! I Just Got My Very FIRST Call From A Democrat Here
in Florida and it was from BILL CLINTON! It's was a robo-call and it's not the fact that it was him, it's what he SAID that told me volumes!

Started out saying "Hi, this is Bill Clinton, you know that absentee ballot sitting on your kitchen table? Well, I hope you fill it out and VOTE FOR Alex Sink." That was the ONLY name he mentioned. Not ONE word about Kendrick Meek, NOT ONE WORD! And since I had actually asked for an absentee ballot, they have their list of who has and has not requested an absentee ballot. I know how the calls get worked, done it many times, seen the lists! Vote for Alex Sink... yes I did.

If I'm lying, I'm dying! To ME, that says it all! Say what you will, twist it or turn it however you want, but to ME, regardless of what Meek is saying, Clinton DID "suggest" something to Meek when he met with him. Asking me to vote for Sink, which I did and no mention of Meek is very telling in and of itself.

Then I was asked to press "1" if I needed someone to pick up my ballot for me. THIS is the FIRST and only call I've gotten during this campaign for a Democrat. NEVER, not ONCE has the Meek campaign EVER called me, nor have I even gotten a flyer from his own campaign.

So, do tell... how do you see this? I KNOW what I'm thinking, and neither Clinton nor Meek can spin it any other way... IMO!

1. Maybe Sink paid for the call?

3. Really? It Would Have Just As Easy For The Democratic Party To
include BOTH of them. I'm sure The Democratic Party would have pushed for that, and paid for it too if they were REALLY serious about the Senate race.

I'll take it for what it said. Can't say I buy the fact that the "Big Dawg" would leave Meek out. Just don't buy it. But others may think otherwise.

8. Meek might not wanted to pay for a call.
Or Sink might not want a lead weight like Meek on the call. Or the Democratic Party wouldn't want to throw away money on a certain loser Meek. Or maybe the party and Sink didn't want to associate themselves with a certain loser in a competitive race. These are all reasonable reasons to not include Meek.

12. I Only Wanted To Make The Point That Many Here Didn't Think Clinton
really would have suggested to Meek that he should drop out. But, I'm done with this now. I already voted and I can live with what I did.

I don't even know why I try, nor why I should EVEN care. I can probably wean myself away and keep my sanity to boot!

SHIT HAPPENS!

2. I freaked my first D caller out
She was surprised I was so excited to speak to her. "We usually don't receive a 'happy to hear from you' response once we mention our name"

I too had recently picked up an absentee ballot. I'm getting an absentee ballot early next time just so I can hear from people with sense. I get 2-3 calls a day from scum. I wonder what triggered the call from D.

5. Oh, I've Had Calls From Others In Other Elections, But Given The Dynamics
of what is going on in our three-way race here, I found it "veeeeerrrry interesting" that Meek wasn't mentioned. I could understand it if it was from one of the regular callers who do these things, but Bill Clinton on a robo isn't something I'm used to. Actually, it hasn't happened to me before. Clinton has CLOUT, I'm sure you know.

6. OMG... I'm Not Excited About THE CALL, I've Had Many In The Past, BUT
I'm guessing someone's missing my point here. I'm talking about the "content" of the call.

Sorry I bothered anyone. I suppose I'm the only one who thinks like this. My apologies.

10. Ha! Yes It Was A Land Line, So then Why Have I NEVER Gotten A Call
from Meek and his campaign? Kind of silly to ask the question because MOST cell phones don't get called and I think YOU know that!

But, who cares anyway... Florida is as it has been for so very long! Looking forward to more of the same, but at a HIGHER level of CRAP.

Thankfully I'm still not under water and own my home so economics here won't effect me all that much. I DO have a son and a daughter, but why should I CARE... time for THEM to pick up the shovel and dig on their own. Once, I DID think I could have some impact, but NO... I really can't!

While I may still have views and make my own comments, I don't think I can put myself through working for a better America. We are just too fractured!

But of course, I AM ONLY ONE, and too many just don't care. I recall the saying back when Ronnie Rayguns was in office and it went something like this... I GOT MINE, YOU get yours! So be it.

Why I thought this would matter here is actually my mistake, to which I have become keenly aware.

TTFN...

11. I got the same call except Clinton said early voting was open today and asked me to go vote
today (I plan to go tomorrow). Like your call, only Sink was mentioned. I did, however, receive a call from Meek a couple of weeks ago.

I don't know what that means quite frankly, but I do know that I am majorly pissed that the dems got played so badly that 2 republicans were able to split the dem vote like this.

13. Now Meek is saying that the conversation didn't occur with
President Clinton.

Christ could be lying about these events.
