Since 8 AM this Morning Our Phone Has RUng 6 times so far, All GOP Candidates
I am going crazy! The phone started ringing about 8 o'clock this morning. One recoriding from Linda McCmahon. One from Jeff Christie.Few others I did not recognize. All Republicans. I think I'm gonna have to take the phone of the hook. We're on the do not call list, but this seems to never stop telemarketers and robo calls from calling us.Anyone else being harassed by these calls?

1. Unfortunately, political calls are exempt from the 'Do Not Call' registry

2. Well, you could keep them busy
It might keep somebody from voting for them because of the call.

Purely as a public spirited gesture.

3. I only got one but we aren't in a contentious area. I was a bit
surprised because the one call we did get was asking that we vote for a particuolar judge. I didn't think judges were supposed to be allowed to capaign.

4. I hope you played them for all it's worth. Eat up as much time as
possible, then tell them to shove it.

5. I haven't had any in over a week
maybe because I've already voted, or maybe Rubio thinks he's too far ahead to bother. BTW: charitable and political calls are exempt from do not call criteria. (And they're the worst in volume)

6. Me too
Here In Missouri I often am getting these robo calls attacking Cap and trade(which Is not going to even be voted In the senate anytime soon) and socalled ObamaCare.I have gotten calls from Republican pollsters who quiet asking questions after I tell them I
approve of Health Care reform and I am voting for Robin Carnahan or not voting for Roy Blunt.Even worse yesterday I got robocalls
from Sarah Palin which I immedetly hung up on.

7. At this point it's GOTV
If you don't always vote in a primary, you're targeted as an independent. There may be another factor or two. Hence the calls.

8. The answer is Caller ID and an answer machine.
On the answer machine message never say "Hello" or "Hi"
My message is simply. "This is the 'smith' residence. Leave a message and we will get back to you."
If I don't recognize them on the caller ID, I don't answer.

9. Another technique is call a phone number that is out of order or disconnected.
Record the sound they make before the message about being out of order. Record that tone before your message on your message machine.

Works wonders.
