9. As always
You would think that some Republicans from states with high His[panic populations would vote for it.

.... the GOP has now decided we need 132. :)

(sorry, not being snarky, yes, we need 60 ... those guys need 60 votes before they can go to lunch)

11. The SENATE has it on their calendar for Thursday/tomorrow
At 11:00am, the Senate will proceed to a series of at least 2 and possibly 3 roll call votes. Those votes will be on the following items.

- Cloture on the motion to proceed to Calendar #663, S.3992, the Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors Act of 2010 (DREAM Act); and
- Cloture on the motion to proceed to Calendar #641, H.R.847, the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act of 2010.
- Senator Reid may reconsider the failed cloture vote on the motion to proceed to S.3454, DoD Authorization.

12. This is better than it not passing, I guess.
But am I missing something? Won't this just die in the Senate?

19. Has anyone ever done a poll on this with Democrats here?
This is not a cut and dry issue, as in yes = good, and no = bad. It is a very emotional issue for those directly affected. A lot of working Americans have been screwed royally, and still are by employers of illegal immigrants based upon anecdotal hearsay from the calls to Washington Journal.

Most people feel the elite have benefited and we serfs have been stung badly by Reagan and every POTUS and Congress since and they don't trust our corporate run government to do the right thing for average citizen Americans and enforce laws. If average Americans were allowed to have free wage market work for them instead of being squeezed by those who should not be here, we'd be earning more money and have less unemployment. Those are the facts.

Unless most Americans want this it may come back to haunt Democrats again in 2012.
