Ohio is losing two seats in Congress and since DK is not liked by the powers that be in both parties his district may be eliminated. He is trying find a way to stay in Congress so he is not going to be running for president unless he has given up on staying in congress.

There will be some charlatan spoiler who will decide to run on a third party perhaps. Someone who will become the darling of nonthinking DUers and who has the ability to wreak damage on the country.

3rd party (which has no chance of winning the big enchilada.. that is just how the system is set up now)
there will be no challengers from the left in the Democratic Party.

Now everybody and their brother knows I am an Obama supporter..but even with that caveat in mind.. I just do not see anyone in the party who is going to challenge him.
