2. And I won't be glad...But considering the alternative, I'll sure as hell vote for him anyway
But at almost 60 years old, I'm getting awfully damn tired of voting for the "candidate that sucks less than the other one". But again, those are the choices that are generally out there , and I'm a realist . If it's not Obama, it'll be some genuinely dangerous right wing lunatic.

5. This might sound rude, but it's a serious question: what motivated you to start this thread?
Especially since there's no follow up in the body.

Do you just spontaneously decide to declare it, then go on about your day?

I just can't imagine what motivates someone to start a thread like this.

9. This type of place on teh intrawebs is called a "Discussion Board".
People post on certain topics, and expect others to comment on them.

Like you just did.

I guess the OP got the desired result?

10. Right, people usually post things that start discussions--not drive-by declarative statements.

Just asking the OP out of curiosity.

11. Really?
"I just can't imagine what motivates someone to start a thread like this." Not at all? No where in your imagination could you come up with a reason why someone would start a thread like this?

Maybe they like the hard work & the accomplishments President Obama has achieved in his first term & decided to express that on a public forum.

I have personally seen much worse threads around here lately & some that actually make it to the Greatest Threads page!

13. It's about par for the course.
Guy posts shit that is barely long enough for a tweet and starts a new thread for each thought he has.

6. I will be, too. Despite all the disappointments and WTFs he's provided us with,
and especially my horror at some of his appointments, I think he's a good guy and will keep working toward what is right. I just hope by the time of the election, I'll be ECSTATIC to vote for him! :hi:
