"Reporters" giddy at the thought of a Government Shut Down!
Edited on Fri Apr-08-11 02:38 PM by FrenchieCat
I noted this morning that Andrea whats-her-face couldn't stop grinning
from bejeweled ear to bejeweled other ear.....

and that the Russert Sperm that showed up on MSNBC couldn't seem to figure out "who's at fault"
(he's worse than all of Politico put together),
although if he examined the facts, and was an actual "reporter",
he should be able to figure it out.

What I think unfortunately, is that the Media is not going to give the straight story
if the government is actually shut down. They know that the GOPigs were seen at fault
in 1995, and so that would be too "predictable" if that were to happen again.

My point is get ready to be active in fighting the media bullshit when it hits the fan.....
as they count on us to be as passive as we have been about most things, while they
decide what's what in reference to whatever.

Remember that none of the news organizations are our friends, nor do any of them have a
positive bias leaning Democratic; in fact, it is quite the opposite.

What I see is that they don't want to reveal their PR cards right now,
but take it from me, if there is a shut down, the media will twist and turn themselves to
make sure that Democrats get some if not most of the blame, even if all of the facts say otherwise.
That's is what they do, and they are not about to give Democrats any sort of advantage
on anything as an election season gets started.

We as Democrats, like with everything else, will have to fight.....
and we cannot just wait for someone else to get it done.

In the end, it is what happens during the PR war that would follow a shut down
that will count.

So are we ready, if need be?

1. The Shutdown IS the Teabagger Agenda That the MSM Has Been Pushing All This Time
A government shutdown implements the whole Teabagger agenda all at once.

Of course the Mighty Slime Machine is in full effect, blaming it on the Democrats.

2. You know someone at CNN is preparing a "SHUTDOWN DAY ONE" logo right now.
I've already started calling it the latest "Republican Shutdown."

3. I already started emailing news anchors whenever they make comments blaming the
looming shutdown on "both sides." For example, Contessa Brewer called the Dems. and Repubs. the "two petulant parties." I wrote: "How are the DEMS. petulant? They're giving the Repubs. everything they want money-wise, (gave them nearly $40 billion of the $60 billion they wanted) and THEY'RE being petulant because they're drawing the line at de-funding Planned Parenthood? Come on!"

7. How can the media not figure out who's at fault?
