Trump Will ‘Probably’ Run as Independent If He Doesn’t Win GOP Nomination.
Bwahahahahaha...

Trump Will ‘Probably’ Run as Independent If He Doesn’t Win GOP Nomination.

Donald Trump will “probably” run as an independent candidate for U.S. President in 2012 if he does not receive the Republican party’s nomination, he told the Wall Street Journal in a video interview on Monday.

“I hate what’s happening to the country,” said Mr. Trump, a real estate tycoon and host of the NBC show “Celebrity Apprentice.” He will not formally make a decision until June, however, when this season of his television show is over. “I can’t run during the airing of that show,” Mr. Trump said, “I’m not allowed to.” But he said he would make an announcement “by June” and his candidacy looks increasingly likely.

Mr. Trump’s candidacy would complicate matters for the GOP as it looks to front someone who can unite the fractious party and mount a serious challenge to President Obama’s reelection bid. A recent Wall Street Journal/NBC poll recently found Mr. Trump tied for second place with former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee among likely voters in a GOP primary. Mitt Romney, the former Massachusetts governor who moved a step closer to formally declaring his own candidacy Monday, is still the frontrunner, though not by a wide margin.

“I think the Republicans are very concerned that I run as an independent,” Mr. Trump said. His support is highest among the conservative wing of the party, not least because he is among the so-called “birthers” who doubt that President Obama in fact was born in the U.S. “It’s a very important issue,” Mr. Trump said of demanding that President Obama show his birth certificate, which has separately been reviewed by the media and deemed legitimate. “I’m not ashamed of having raised that issue.”

“I am very conservative,” said Mr. Trump. “The concern is if I don’t win will I run as an independent, and I think the answer is probably yes.” Mr. Trump said he thought he “could possibly win as an independent,” adding, “I’m not doing it for any other reason. I like winning.”

The mother fucker has gone bankrupt more times than Pat Buchannon has run for president! He's one of those idiots that always lives on the margin. But he does have "kind" hair. The kind you find around a dogs ass!

2. Good. The economy can use his money. The more he thinks he can win, the more he will spend.

3. This is the best thing that could happen if he keeps courting the Teabaggers...
The Republicans will be thrashed at the polls as the right wing loonies pursue the impossible dream, voting for "birther" candidate Donald Trump. The reality is, that once he has extracted the maximum amount of publicity, Trump will withdraw.

6. Trump will get enough of the vote to cover the margin of uncertainty. This is casino politics.

The only question, which Party will pony up enough chips to have the house swing the outcome their way.

It's a form of Greenmail by the "legit" Mafia.

19. 'Colonol' is the Baggers' own version of the rank
as in
  • Privit
  • Corprul
  • Sarjent
  • Captin
  • Majer
  • Colonol
  • Genrul

After a long, heated argument regarding the rank of 'lieutenant,' which no one could agree on how to spell, the decision was made simply to drop it entirely, with the general consensus being that it was "prolly French, anyway."
Unfortunately, one Bagger who was more smart than wise pointed out that the names of the rest of the ranks were of french origin, too.

Things didn't go well for him...

23. See 1996.

When 80% of the independent's votes are coming from people who would otherwise vote Republican, it will not hurt Obama at all.

He is a publicity whore and it is working for him. How else could he have gotten on the puff teevee shows?

20. I, for one, back this move
as the most foolhardy positive thing he can do.

It will have no effect on the Republican vote, just like Nader has no effect on the Democratic vote.

21. This will not happen.
Many states, including most of the big ones, have 'sore loser' election laws. If you run for an office as a Democrat or Republican and lose in the primaries you are not allowed to be on the ballot as a Independent. Trump knows this as I am sure he has good election lawyers advising him. He is just throwing shit out there to get more publicity.
