We will have a lot of the same people on board who were on board in 2008!

He sounded like the fighter I remember.

He called out the GOP idiots.

He addressed the top 1%.

He talked about the poor and less fortunate.

I loved it.

2. He's been like this since 2008. If you saw the Feingold event he went to in the summer.
It's the same speech. The same speech that most didn't watch or don't remember and was NEVER publicized on any News Network until Maddow showed some clips.

But Obama is always the bad guy or has changed or blah blah blah.

8. Ah, so you didn't see the speech. Point made.
He's been like this since 2008. I have seen and watched majority of his townhalls and speeches. So no, this is not new. Just admit that you haven't followed most of the speeches. Most of them aren't even posted on DU---some of them are posted and go to the third page in a matter of minutes. So, I can definitely say he has done this in the past 2 years.

3. If more people actually listened to what the man says, we wouldn't have a problem.
But a lot of people choose to listen to FireDogLake, WSWS, CommonDreams, and other outfits dedicated not just to hammering what he hasn't done but to completely spinning everything he has done into something horrible.

6. The problem is what he DOES, not what he says.
Unless you're okay with the ever increasing wealth gap.

4. And I think his challenge to the (R) budget proposals was strong, pointed
and particular. I also liked how he framed it in larger terms as abandoning basic agreements we as a society have long relied on and supported.

10. I didn't agree with it all but for the most part I support it.
If he can get the most important aspects accomplished. I'm all for it.

He and Democrats need to do more to put the sunshine on why Ryan's plan sucks. The more the better so that a credible candidate can possibly beat Ryan in 2012.

12. So what are WE GOING TO DO? Where's the sunshine that we can produce?
Are we gonna help have most the important aspects of his proposals get accomplished,
considering that the house is held by the Republicans,
or are we just gonna sit back and let someone else do the heavy lifting,
and then point fingers when it doesn't get done, cause we didn't do our part?

13. One of the ways to put the sunshine out there is for activists
to write letters to the editor. Two other avenues to make a difference would be the tv stations with ways to leave opinions about different issues and on blogs. The other is to have the facts and ready to make an impact with others about the facts. I think it would also help to keep reminding those that are also involved of those facts so they are ready to respond when needed.
