Rep. Weiner: 'You lie' congressman probably at it again

Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-N.Y.) took to Twitter Wednesday to stick up for President Obama's deficit reduction speech, quipping about the 2009 "you lie" incident during the president's speech to Congress.

Weiner — a liberal firebrand — tweeted, "Somewhere (Rep.) Joe Wilson (R-S.C.) is yelling 'You Lie!' over and over at his TV. President is doing great setting the debate."

The congressman referred to Wilson's outburst on the House floor two years ago in reaction to Obama's claim that his healthcare reform law would not apply to illegal immigrants.

Wilson apologized for his yell, but was reprimanded by the then-Democratic House.

Weiner made a series of partisan jabs during Obama's speech.

"A long overdue explanation of why government exists. Why Americans are Progressives," he tweeted.

"Almost jarring to hear an adult description of these problems. Fox is getting ready to cut away to a car chase. #OrAGoldLineAd"

He also nodded to his sharp tongue, tweeting, "why im not president. my version : "the gop plan is a disaster and ill chew my arm off before i sign it."
