"To improve and protect Medicare for current recipients and future generations."
I was greeted at DU today by a big banner ad thanking my Republican congressman for his vote to improve and protect Medicare for current recipients and future generations - and there was a handy button I could click if I wanted to thank him too. (FAT CHANCE!)

This is what the 60plus fake seniors association is up to this election cycle - it's going to take a lot of educating in order to combat this stuff. If they're here, they're everywhere.

3. Gotta hand it to the assholes, they do know how to MESSAGE their lies. Dems need to learn how to
MESSAGE. We have a BIGTIME winning issue here. The Dem message is simple: REPUBLICAN ARE TRYING TO DESTROY MEDICARE AS WE KNOW IT AND PUT SENIORS AT THE MERCY OF THE GREEDY INSURANCE COMPANIES.

4. What I cannot understand is how we fail to grasp the importance
of messaging, even after getting our asses handed to us in 2010. Certainly there must be a budding Democrat 'Frank Luntz' who could make our messaging as catchy and as psychologically adept as Luntz's. I think the real problem is the lack of message discipline (and discipline in general) that unfortunately characterizes our party. And so we continue to pay the price for it again and again and...

6. You have to hand it to them
they know how to message. They always call their bills wonderful names that destroy shit. By once again outright lying which they have zero problem with they will talk their republican seniors into voting for them. I think the dems will manage to at least send flyers out to their people warning of the lie
but the right will buy it.

8. Media reform will save the economy
They can message all they want.. the problem started with the repeal of the Fairness Doctrine that's in my work "No Army Dodgers Here, Rush Elsewhere, by Ray Etrych" avail on kindle, all digitals...support a progressive for progressive funding..just as the pres. books helped his debts, if we cannot get back the media, the Fascism is permanent.

9. The misleading advertising and marketing influences low information voters.
I certainly support Paul Begala's assertion that Dems are going to have to make that Citizens United SCOTUS approval of big PACS work for us, not against us.
