SF: Draft Ed Lee campaign looking more organized.
After dropping by the library in Chinatown, I took my son to the Quickly store on Powell and Jackson. Just as we settled in, three Cantonese-speaking women wearing Draft Ed Lee t-shirts came in with signs, apparently asking permission to put them up. The lady behind the counter nervously consented (she noticed me watching on with interest) and the "volunteers" put up the sign and went on their merry way. I thought it was over after the Interim Mayor supposedly told the Draft Lee committee "no". But watching them work in Chinatown today, they are more organized and aggressive than ever. Perhaps Lee did not really say no, and perhaps the current front-runners David Chiu and Leland Yee are sweating bullets.
