Poll question: What will the U.S. be in 2017?
Visualize the country later in the year, after 2016's Presidential winner has been in office for a while.

3. Other: A loose-knit collection of 4 to 8 separate countries, each with their own local government.
D.C., having proved itself useless, will have become irrelevant.

6. I think you may be right and that would be a good thing.
The U.S. has become too big to govern. And clearly about half the people really don't like the other half. So let's separate and be done with it. Also 4-8 different countries would not have the ability to engage in non stop wars all over the world.

I think we're beyond repair, sadly.

5. Extinct - at least, as we've known it.
Oh wait. It's already that.

7. In a highly controversial decision, the Supreme Court today agreed that...
President Rubio may remove the remaining two liberal Justices on the bench and replace them with his appointees, citing "the primacy of preserving the Republic in the face of subversive ideology".

It is a move that many Constitutional scholars are calling illegal, but the 7-2 decision has already moved the White House to introduce the President's picks to the majority GOP Senate for the soon to be scheduled confirmation hearings.

It is rumored that the Attorney General will announce a formal list of charges against former Justices Sotomayor and Kagan.

8. It will be better
I took my daughter to see the 3D version of the "Cave of Forgotten Dreams". She is 10 years old and we were watching the previews. There was a preview of a movie called "The Help" or something like that. The little snips all presumed one understood that there was racial segregation in our country .

She did not get it at all. She said "what was that weird movie about? Where did those people live? " I realized that things have changed a great deal in my life and they continue to change and things are getting better, it just is hard, very hard to see it on our level, or at least at my level. But I get these little glimpses of it. And that was one of them.
