Low-priority query on when kentuck and I first joined DU.

There was a GD thread asking when people joined up. I replied "May 21, 2001," because an archive search I did several years ago revealed that to be the earliest date I could find a post of mine.

But kentuck PM'd me with the following: "But when you click on author's profile, there is a u_id# at the end of the end of the address in the browser window. The 10 at the front shows that it was in 2001. The other numbers, I am unsure of their meaning? Perhaps it has to do with Discussion Board only? But your number is 102890 and my number is 103933. Perhaps we could get someone to clear that up? There are very few numbers left that are lower than ours."

So, on behalf of kentuck and myself, is there any way (hopefully easy) for you folks to nail down exactly when we joined DU?

1. The user id number can give you an idea of when you joined

but it is not 100% accurate. There were database issues when we moved to this software that made some of them not really in the exact order you would expect. Any user id numbers AFTER 2003 are in exact order.

3. You can't

At best you can approximate if you know someone's join date and their user id, by comparing their id to yours, and taking a guess.
