I'm still uncomfortable about 'alert' -ing on some posts. Advice, please?
I enjoy spirited debate as much as the next person, and for that reason I am loathe to hit 'alert' on what are ( to me, at least ) questionable posts and replies; when reading one of those 'questionable' posts, I try very hard to be objective about the posters intent and use of language, and seldom alert on a post for that reason. That said, some are clearly personal attacks, blatantly in-civil or otherwise inappropriate; those I do alert on.

Are there any clear guidelines about what/when to hit alert?

Thanks in advance for your answer.

:hi:

1. Here's my advice:
Alert.

If you think something might be problematic, send an alert. The moderators will decide whether or not to remove a post.
