Rupture Day on Rose

I walked on down on Avenue Rose,
Forgot it was the day.
Saw the first pile of empty clothes
Right along the way.

Picked 'em up and rolled 'em tight,
To make a tidy pack,
Then walked on down toward the light,
Never looking back.

The corner looked like Goodwill's shelves,
All covered with more rags.
Some folks were standing by themselves,
Just filling up their bags.

Yes, Rupture's like a great big sale,
With clothes strewn round about.
Some people all gone beyond the pale,
Their undies hanging out.
