3. I'll bet he died like a coward and pissed his pants.
I'll bet he begged for his life.

I'll bet that he cried and wet himself and then the Navy SEAL did hos job.

Fuck his dead ass.

That is all.

4. hmn
I know that a lot of people were personally affected by his actions, but imho wishing such things upon him(btw I supported his killing)..or anyone else for that matter, will only help in lowering ourselves to his level. just sayin.

6. In his specific situation, I'm willing to lower myself.
As I have posted elsewhere on DU, my biggest regret is that he seems to have been taken down by single bullets to the head and the chest.

I wanted the motherfucker to suffer, and for as long as possible.

I am completely at peace with my "level."

I was not condemning you or castigating you for your choice of action. As I mentioned in my previous post, it was but an opinion.
I agree that you are more than entitled to have your own say/feelings in subject and I hope that my post was not mistaken to be one with a condescending tone..I never intended it that way, and I apologize for any misunderstanding.

Cheers.

16. As they say, "we're cool."
I know you weren't condemning me or castigating me.

And I appreciate your clarification.

In 99.99% of the time, I wouldn't feel this way.

But when it comes to bin Laden and what he's "accomplished," I regret the fact that the Navy SEALs didn't shove candy up his ass and whack him like a fucking pinata until it came out of his mouth.

This "man"...this pathetic waste of protoplasm...took two bullets and went down. He should have suffered for hours and days longer than he actually did.

This is the one hundredth of one percent of the time when I delight on pissing on someone's grave.

I'm with you the other 99.99% of the time.

:patriot:

7. I doubt that AV or I or many others would ever lower ourselves to the cold-blooded,
intricately planned, murder by remote control of thousands of innocent people.

In my opinion, ObL was not an average human being; he was a fanaticist psychopath and just a little less than human by his actions.

Of course, you are a better person than I for not harboring such thoughts. Bless your heart.

11. of course not
There is no way anyone could lower themselves to the level of OBL Hitler and others, and I agree that I should have worded my post better..as it seems to come off as if I equated the actions of OBL with that of AV...I did not mean to. I was merely trying to express my personal belief that the more agitated/violent we might turn at the actions of despicable individuals like OBL, the more we might unknowingly serve their eventual goal of shifting us away from what we have always stood for.

My personals views were shaped partly due to my childhood in a country ravaged by civil war....so It was common for me to encounter exceptionally gracious people who would surprisingly turn vindictive and angry at the mention of certain subjects. I used to be like that, but in my 20s i realized that having a conviction/ideals about certain things need not necessarily mean that we have to loath those who stand for the opposite camp.Of course I would dislike them..and in the case of Osama, If I had the opportunity and a gun; I would have certainly shot him without a second thought if I had run into him one day...but I would not wish certain things to be done to him...just because I have come to notice the transitory nature of things in this world...especially the joys/sadness we gain from certain actions. Killing him in a brutal manner would imho given me joy for a few moments..but would have created a dent in my self image/ideal. However, as I said at the beginning of this post..this is but my personal view and would probably only apply to myself.

Cheers.
