In case you were wondering, REPUBLICANS SUCK (WI)
I spent most of the day today sitting in the Joint Finance Committee (Wisconsin).

Every time I think I've seen and heard it all, the republicans open their mouths, and I am shocked again.

The republicans voted to DELETE the State Employee Child Care Center Subsidy.

The part I couldn't believe was this:

"The State Budget Office indicates that the amounts provided under the facilities operations appropriation were not reduced because the savings related to the deletion of the child care subsidy were offset by the need for additional expenditures for the upkeep of the State Capitol and the executive residence."

They are evil.

Thank you to Wisconsin Senator Bob Jauch for making sure this provision didn't slip by unnoticed. :patriot:

1. Austerity for everyone (except me and my friends) -- Scott Walker
Has he said this yet? I'm guessing not, because that would be honest.

2. The republicans of today are like a disease, and I really think none of them
give a damn about the future of America, and certainly not the majority of the citizens. I really have difficulties understanding why most people would want to vote for a republican other than they fall for the rhetoric and lies.

4. Thank you for informing us... I was watching the news last night
and there was going to be a special follow up report about a married man in his late thirty's that insisted in the army so he could get coverage for his wife's chemo treatments.. His done serving, and now her chemo treatments are going to be ending. I could not watch it all the way through, because I know that Rebbecca Kleefisch, Scott Walker's Lt. Governor, had all her chemo treatment paid for by the tax payers because her husband is a state worker... We have the medicine, but sometime after Reagan got in office we starting some crazy idea that not everyone was untitled to help...

6. It was very difficult to sit there quietly
while they read through one plan after the next to hurt the people of our State.

Today Walker signs the Voter Disenfranchisement Bill. We'll be there to let him know what we think of that.

Come to the Capitol at noon for the 12:30 signing, if you possibly can.

7. A question for you
I get a lot of my news here at DU, so I've been seeing all the evil little shit they have been doing there in WI. Is all this stuff getting any air time out there though? Are the people aware of it?

8. virtually no air time
Today he signed the Voter Disenfranchisement Bill into law. We managed to make enough noise outside his office that the news coverage had very little audio from the ceremony itself.

I was interviewed by two stations today after the Judiciary Committee meeting on concealed carry. I don't know if I ended up on the cutting room floor or not. Sometimes I think they interview us just to shut us up, with no intention of running any of it.
