What happened to Ed?
Did they replace his brain while he was gone?

Is he going to be a one-man morality wagon?

Personally, I am more offended that he called a woman a slut than I am that Weiner tweeted his weiner.

But I wasn't even going to hold that against him.:(

He better be careful--falling off that high horse he has perched himself upon.

I had to turn him off. I expect more from him.

14. Not Republican roots - maybe Midwestern roots
Why designate morality as Republican? I have been a liberal long before my first vote for George McGovern. I agree that Congress men and Senators are given a huge honor by the people they represent - and in return, I do not think it is too much to ask that they act with integrity. That is why I am offended when they (or their campaign funds) take bribes and vote for the interests of the bribers. That is also why I am offended when they act in an irresponsible, immoral way.

I am actually MORE offended when it is a Democrat, because his/her bad actions reflect badly on the party as a whole. I also feel enormous sympathy for the people who volunteered for the person, freely giving their time and money. I feel sorry for the people working in the that office. The elected official is the public face and the person who leads and takes responsibility for all the office does. There are likely many good people working for Weiner - and at this point their work might be wasted and they could lose their jobs if he steps down.

26. No, "republican" roots.
He's a registered Republican who went into Progressive Talk because there was less competition. I called this after the 2010 elections; once the Republicans got a foothold again Ed's true colors would come back through. And they have.

27. I know his history
Here, I don't think it is his former politic affiliation that was in play, but his cultural, moral background.

How are you going to question Vermont's Senior Senator, the liberal Democrat, Pat Leahy's call for him to resign? I believe he is a live long Democrat.

I'm questioning Ed Schultz. Different motivations.

... unions, and "the big picture" in Wisconsin like nobody else did and to me
that says a lot about Ed and and his character.

They want me to be offended and I am, that Weiner's privacy was completely invaded with the intention of destroying his career. I NEVER wanted to know anything about the fantasy sex (or real sex) lives of my representatives. If they behave like priests and go for kids, that's one thing...BUT WITH ADULTS? Please.

And I do adore the attempts to paint these sext-collecting women as "victims." I know a blue dress when I see one.

10. +1000
I felt during Clinton that he should not resign because then the right would think they could make anyone resign by embarrassing them.

They are going to do it either way but the best plan is to ignore it and NOT let them win by resigning.

It gets personal with me at a certain point.

30. Me too. Judgy, judgy, judgy.
Of all the coverage of this mess, Rachel has hit it out of the park.

I am getting fed up with Ed. I don't like how pissy and angry he gets when his listens/viewers disagree.

He is the one with the podium, he should have the maturity and the class to just let it go.

Move on. But he won't.

Tired of him.

21. Ed did follow that up with
the GOP being hypocritical for not demanding resignations for their own examples of 'family values'.

He's definitely not the hypocrite you so eloquently described.

29. I went through that phase in my final week of watching msnBS. It's time to change the channel.
Turn on Thom Hartman on his radio show (televised)
or on the Big Picture on RT America (similar show to the ed show, even has a "crazy talk" segment)

David Pakman is also good
