Hey Leftys: the US has almost the highest tax rates in the world!
Edited on Thu Jun-09-11 07:33 AM by MannyGoldstein
That's why our economy is in the toilet. We need to cut our tax rates in order to be competitive:

(from http://bluemassgroup.com/2011/06/reaganbush-i-economist-the-united-states-has-very-low-taxes/">Reagan/Bush I economist: “the United States has very low taxes”

Slashing government is the only way forward. Won't you join our bipartisan efforts? Everything is on the table in the very serious discussion that we need to have.

Sincerely yours,

The Very Serious People

3. There's a reason most of the billionaires in the world live right here in the US -
it's because it is in their economic interest to do so.

Here is the breakdown: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_the_number_of_US_dollar_billionaires

5. When everyone pays their fair share (rich AND poor)...
things work out. The top rate in Denmark doesn't exceed 55%.

7. Are these the legislated rates or the rates actually paid after exemptions; loop holes, etc?
And in some countries there is very little enforcement so the legislated rate means little.

10. But don't let that stop some "Half-Truth" spewing Freeper Idiot.
they want to make comparisons but they don't want to include nearly 1/2 the information necessary to make informed decisions.

I would like to see a chart that extrapolates the "Corporate Tax Rate - Actual Taxes paid - Export GDP - Poverty Rate - Literacy Rate - Computer Literacy Rate"

Those types of information relationships are some thing Corporate America works feverishly to suppress

11. And the entire left-hand column has their health care paid for.
No pre-existing conditions.

We have to pay for ours out-of-pocket.

Let's not even get into schooling, or unemployment insurance. And their public transportation systems blow ours away, as does their infrastructure and damming.

They also get mandated paid vacation and maternity leave. American workers COULD have vacation if our masters would be so kind . .. but it's not required by law.

14. If I'm not mistaken, every country listed above the U.S., including South Korea,
has some form of universal health care.

It helps that they don't spend money invading and/or subverting other countries.
